Many technologies and other accommodations for people with disabilities have become “mainstream” and are now considered good design or even high fashion.

Think about phones with big buttons, large cubicles in public restrooms, cuts in the sidewalk curbs, adjustable screen font size, power buttons on the front where you can see them, just to name a few. These all started as ways to help people with disabilities. Today, we all benefit from them.
