Here is your first reading assignment. I worked on this for a group at the Senior Center near us in California. It is simple, and easy to follow. Just eat good food but not too much. There were questions about specific items, like cookies, but everyone understood the basic ideas. It worked pretty well for them.

I think this guy has some good ideas. He is a bit too strict about some food but he has lots of information about “good” food. I like that he ranks food so if you are trying to maximize the nutrition value of what you do eat, his lists are a big help. Select something near the top if you have a choice.
