Thinking about what you said the other day – smart kids don’t finish…

This graphic reminded me – kids need to learn that the most important step is 4. Report findings.

An historian told a group “If it wasn’t recorded, it didn’t happen.”

I was reminded of this in my class when we were talking about copyright and intellectual property, and who owns ideas when lots of people can independently come up with the same idea. The person who recorded it first has the best case if it comes to a legal issue.

There are lots of other good reasons to report findings. It is just as important as coming up with a great idea.
